SAVE THE TREES WALK
Faith-Based Environmental Protest Against Tree Cutting along Quirino Avenue and Roxas Boulevard
On June 24, 2026, as we celebrated Manila Day, we joined fellow environmental advocates, faith communities, and concerned citizens in a prayerful environmental protest to stand in solidarity for the protection of the remaining trees along Quirino Avenue and Roxas Boulevard.
United in a common call to protect our environment, environmental advocates, churches, ministries, schools and various organizations gathered in solidarity. The program concluded at Malate Catholic Church, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to caring for our common home.
The trees along Quirino Avenue and Roxas Boulevard have long provided shade, cleaner air, and a healthier environment for generations of Manileños. Our fight to protect our urban green spaces continues. Let us remain united in speaking up for the trees that provide cleaner air, cooler streets, and a healthier future for our communities.
